Luisa Longo first approached Fiber Art during her studies at the Ècole du Louvre in Paris. During that time she embarked on her on-going experimentation of materials and techniques that has led her to focus on painting on organza and linen.
Drawing inspiration from symbolism and expressionism, the artist interprets the rhythm of the cosmos, the elements of nature but also contemporary architectural sites, in order to generate interior landscapes.
See-through organza and silk reflections are at the core of Luisa Longo’s research.
The choice of colours of different nature and composition and the use of a variety of techniques allow the artist to explore with a personal voice the possibilities offered by these textiles.
